Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Celebrates Weequahic Football Champions
Newark Beth Israel celebrates Weequahic Football 2016 State Champions with NY Giants stars OJ Anderson and George Martin
On December 19, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey celebrated the Weequahic Football 2016 NJSIAA State Championship win with a star studded pep-rally. The entire football team, head coach Brian Logan, athletic director Gary Westberry and principal Lisa McDonald enjoyed a celebration at the hospital hosted by Newark Beth Israel president and CEO Darrell K. Terry, Sr., and including New York Giants Super Bowl Champion George Martin and two time Super Bowl champion and all around MVP OJ Anderson. The students were showered with gifts from the hospital and Mr. Martin who presented the team’s top offensive and defensive players with autographed footballs from Giants superstars, Victor Cruz and Odell Beckham Jr. Coach Logan also received a helmet autographed by Giants Coach Tom Coughlin
