2 Missing Person Cases In Newark; 1 Found, 1 Remains Lost: UPDATE
Newark police asked for the public's help finding a missing 13-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl. One has since been found.
NEWARK, NJ — UPDATE: Newark police said that Bryan Richard has been found and is unharmed. Aaliyah Bryant remains missing. Our original article follows below.
Newark police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing 13-year-old boy, authorities say.
Bryan Richard, 13, of Newark, was reported missing on Thursday, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Police released the following description of Richard (see photo above):
“Bryan, who is diagnosed with autism and is non-verbal, was last seen by his school bus driver at approximately 1:15 p.m. at Georgia King Village near Cabinet Street. He is described as 5 feet 7 inches and 115 pounds. Bryan was wearing a black puffy coat, red and black sneakers, and tan pants.”

The missing person case involving Richard was the city’s second such alert issued on Thursday.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Aaliyah Bryant, 17, was reported missing on Aug. 30. She was last seen leaving her home on the 100-block of Chancellor Avenue on Aug. 29. Read More: Newark Girl, 17, Has Been Missing For More Than A Month
Authorities said anyone with information about either case can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
