Newark Business Earns Nod For Hiring Employees With Disabilities
A trio of Essex County companies were commended for their efforts to hire employees with disabilities.

NEWARK, NJ — A trio of Essex County companies have been commended for their efforts to hire employees with disabilities, officials announced Monday.
This year’s Essex County Employer Recognition Awards were given to three local employers:
- Legends Hospitality (Newark)
- Daughters of Israel (West Orange)
- Little Tykes Daycare (East Orange)
According to Essex County officials, the awards recognize companies that “go above and beyond” to hire employees with disabilities.

The award is jointly sponsored by the Essex County and City of Newark Workforce Development Boards' Disability Issues Committee. It was presented to the winning companies on Monday at Mayfair Farms in West Orange.
