“Shortly before 12:45 a.m., a white truck arrived at the restaurant, two male suspects exited the truck and cut a lock to a cooking oil container located in the rear of the establishment. The suspects siphoned the oil onto their truck before fleeing. Surveillance cameras captured the same truck arriving at the restaurant and removing oil from the container on July 3.”
The suspects got away with about 200 gallons of oil, police said. An investigation continues, authorities said Tuesday.
“While police are actively searching for these suspects, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from our streets,” the Newark Department of Public Safety stated.
