Newark police arrested a local father after he allegedly "disciplined" his 13-year-old son with an electrical cord, authorities say.

Newark, NJ – Newark police arrested a 48-year-old local father after he allegedly “disciplined” his 13-year-old son with an electrical cord, authorities stated.

According to the Newark Police Department, officers apprehended Stephen Boone at his Norwood Street home on Monday and charged him with child endangerment and cruelty of child.

The teen’s mother reported the incident to the police after learning of his injuries from school officials, authorities stated.
