“If there was ever a time to protest, it is now,” Hamm urged. “We still have seats available on the bus. Those who want to go should contact us as soon as possible.”
The rally is also seeing support from Deborah Smith Gregory, president at the NAACP Newark.
“The recent draconian decisions to wipe out agencies that are essential to the well-being of American citizens must be opposed,” Gregory said.
Gloria Browne-Marshall, president at Rally Forward said the nation is in a “Constitutional crisis.”
“I think many people may regret that they did not do enough,” Browne-Marshall said. “We all have power. Do something. Get on the bus.”
