Newark Police Find Guns, Heroin, Coke In ‘Unoccupied’ Home

Newark police found a large stash of guns and drugs inside an "unoccupied" home on South 18th Street, authorities say.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police found a large stash of guns and drugs inside an “unoccupied” home on the 400-block of South 18th Street on Thursday, authorities say.

Acting in response to a tip, officers searched the residence around 4 p.m. Inside, they found 11 firearms, 1,080 envelopes of heroin, 440 vials of cocaine, 14 bags of marijuana and additional “drug paraphernalia,” the Newark Department of Public Safety stated.
