Newark's Christ the King School Opens New College Info Center
The project was funded through a grant from Capitol One Bank.
Christ the King Preparatory School in Newark has a new college access room, courtesy of a grant from Capital One Bank. The grand opening of the school's READesign College and Career Access Center featured a ribbon cutting held last Thursday.
The Heart of America Foundation’s READesign team worked with Christ the King staffers to transform an undedicated classroom into a learning center that focuses on preparing students for success in college and beyond.
The new center will serve as the school’s hub for college resources and will provide a dedicated space for students to research colleges and careers, study for standard entrance exams and complete college and financial aid applications as they pursue higher education.
