Newark ShopRite To Hold Job Fair, Walk-Ins Welcome

NEWARK, NJ — Looking for employment? Job searchers can walk into nearly any ShopRite store – including the Newark location – for “on-the-spot interviews” as part of a company-wide career fair on Saturday, Feb. 26.

The job fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at all ShopRite locations in New Jersey, as well as many others in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland.

The ShopRite of Newark is located at 206 Springfield Avenue. ShopRite also has other locations throughout Essex County, including Belleville, Bloomfield, East Orange, Livingston, Millburn, Nutley and West Orange. See other New Jersey locations here.

Interested candidates can visit the location of their choice and speak with a hiring manager for an immediate interview. Full-time, part-time and management positions are available, depending on the location.

According to a company news release, available part-time positions – including general, perishable, front end and stocking clerks – will feature “flexible hours and a wide variety of cross-training.”

ShopRite offers associates entertainment and tuition discounts, as well as scholarship opportunities, spokespeople said.

ShopRite is the registered trademark of Wakefern Food Corp., a retailer-owned cooperative based in Keasbey. It comprises nearly 50 member families, who independently own and operate more than 350 supermarkets under the ShopRite, Price Rite Marketplace, The Fresh Grocer, Dearborn Market, Gourmet Garage, and Fairway Market banners.
