Newark Still Dealing With Snow Problems: Wednesday Update
A school bus reportedly crashed on Orange Street and NJ Transit reported 45 minute bus delays.
Newark, NJ – It’s still tough to get around.
That was the message from some Newark residents and public safety agencies on Wednesday, as the city continued to struggle with snow removal efforts from the weekend’s blizzard.
While Newark Public Schools opened again after two straight snow days, some residents reported that students’ morning commute on Wednesday wasn’t easy.

- A school bus was reportedly involved in a crash on Orange Street (read the article here).
- “Bus service in the downtown Newark area may experience delays of up to 45 minutes due to snow removal,” NJ Transit stated at 9:33 a.m.
- “Avoid the area, NJDOT clearing roads… Traffic gridlock in area,” Breaking News NJ reported around 1 a.m.
- An Astor Street resident told Pix11 News that his street might as well be a “dead end block” or a “parking lot.”
