Authorities are urging anyone with information or surveillance footage to contact the city's 24-hour Crime Stoppers line or use the Newark Police Division's online tip portal, with confidential tips potentially eligible for a reward.
   

2. Berkeley College Foundation Names Nico Caraballo as Executive Director (tapinto.net) — A nonprofit leader with deep experience serving Newark's East Ward and Newark Public Schools has been named executive director of the Berkeley College Foundation, which funds scholarships for New Jersey students. Congresswoman Pou Calls on United to Save Nonstop Newark→Lima Flights (insidernj.com) — A New Jersey congresswoman is urging United Airlines to reverse its plan to end the long-running nonstop route between Newark Liberty International Airport and Lima, Peru in March 2027. She argues the Newark–Lima flight is vital for New Jersey's large Peruvian-American community, warning that canceling it would raise travel costs and inconvenience families and businesses that rely on direct connections.
