Newark Water Main Break, Traffic Blocked: Washington, East Kinney Streets
Expect traffic congestion in and around the area on Tuesday, Newark officials say.

Newark, NJ - The Newark Office of Public Safety is advising drivers to avoid the area of 440 Washington Street and East Kinney Street on Tuesday due to a water main break.
The intersections have been blocked off to vehicular traffic until further notice, according to a city Nixle alert issued at 7:50 a.m.
Expect traffic congestion in and around the area, city officials said.

"We are urging drivers to avoid this area or traverse an alternate route during this repair," the alert stated.
NorthJersey FireNews reported that an entire high rise building on Washington Street was left without water.
