FLAMINGO / AQUARIAN DRILL TEAMS REUNION FRIDAY, 6/10/16 AT BELLA ITALIA RESTAURANT, ORANGE, NJ

Newark, NJ (May 24, 2016)

· The Flamingos Drill Team was started in the South Ward of Newark, New Jersey in the 1960’S, 70’S & 80’S by Col. Bill Wallace and Renee Wallace (R.I.P.) sponsored by Rutgers Environmental Community Academy.

· As youth, we were creating memories & enjoying them to this day, travelling around the Tri-State and surrounding areas marching in parades and competing in competitions as far away as New Orleans, LA.

· Flamingos Drill Team’s oldest living members are Ms. Daisy Sewell (Alabama), Mrs. Bessie Daniels (New Jersey) and Mr. Wayne Brooks (Florida).

· Among original Flamingo Drill Team Members attending the Reunion are (including but not limited to) Toni Ford, Etta Jean Nunnally, Robin Pfeiffer Scipio, Carl Strand, Letha Hall Skipper, Debbie Hall Hawks, Deborah Reeder-Segarra, Macie Terry, Robin Murray, Joanie Daniels, Sherrie Furman, Daphne Turner, Pam Daniels, Daphne Durden, Lucinda, Debbie and Freddie Sewell.

· Among Original Aquarian Drill Team Members attending the Reunion are (including but not limited to) Joann Williams, Michelle Reeder-Williams, Iris Martin, Ruby Mangan, Lisa Everett-Mitchell and Mary Clemons.

· On this journey, we found out that Mrs. Carolyn Wallace, Founding Member of IYO, was married to Col. Bill Wallace’s brother continuing service to our youth in the City of Newark.

· And our Flamingos Drill Team tradition is still going strong in Orange, New Jersey with the Flamingo Precision Drill Team who will be joining in our celebration and performing at our reunion.

ADMISSION IS $45.00 DUE 6/2/16 -- Program , Friday, 6/10/16 -- 7 to 11 p.m.
