NJ Flight Lands In Boston After Smoke In Cockpit: Report

A Germany-bound flight from NJ diverted in Boston Monday night after smoke was reported in the cockpit, according to a report.

NEWARK, NJ - A Germany-bound flight from Newark Liberty International Airport diverted in Boston Monday night after smoke was reported in the cockpit, according to an NJ.com report.

Lufthansa Flight 403, which was headed for Frankfurt am Main Airport, landed safely around 10:25 p.m. at Boston Logan International Airport following the smoke report, a Massachusetts State Police spokesman told the publication. Crew members used oxygen masks during the incident, the spokesman added.

No injuries were reported to any of the 326 passengers and crew on board, NJ.com wrote.

Per FlightAware, the Boeing 747-8 aircraft turned to Boston while flying near Nova Scotia, Canada.

A request for comment from Massachusetts State Police was not immediately returned Wednesday morning.
