Missing Newark Boy Found After NJ State Police Join Search: UPDATE

The missing Newark youth was last seen two weeks ago. He has run away from home in the past, authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — UPDATE: Police said Friday that Brayden Killings has been found. Our original article follows below.

State police in New Jersey have joined the effort to find a missing, 12-year-old boy from Newark.

On Thursday, the New Jersey State Police Missing Persons and Human Trafficking Unit and the Newark Police Department announced that the search continues for Brayden Killings.

Police said Killings’ mother reported him missing on Nov. 17. He was last seen at his home around 11 a.m. on Badger Avenue in Newark.

Killings is still missing as of Friday morning, Newark police confirmed.

Authorities said Killings is a Black male who is 4 feet 9 inches and 90 pounds (see photo below). He has brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing grey jeans, a grey hooded sweatshirt, and white and grey sneakers.

Police said that Killings has been diagnosed with ADHD and OCD. He has run away from home in the past, including in August, when he was found unharmed.
