• Newark opens 5 community grocery stores across the city (news12.com) — Newark has opened five permanent community grocery stores, one in each ward, to improve food access for residents in designated food desert areas. Stocked with fresh produce, meat, and household supplies, the stores will soon accept SNAP and WIC and are run by local nonprofits under the city's Office of Sustainability, Resilience and Community Transformation.

• Georgia Man Accused of $200K Nationwide Scam Using Feminine Product Coupon Glitch (lawenforcementtoday.com) — A woman was sentenced in Newark federal court to 15 months in prison for running a nationwide counterfeit coupon scheme that hit New Jersey retailers among others for over $17 million. In a related case, Georgia police say a man exploited a digital coupon glitch to steal more than $200,000 from stores across multiple states.

• Atlantic City Police Releases Names Of Those Arrested At Protest (wfpg.com) — A Newark resident, Anthony Diaz, was among several people charged after a protest outside Atlantic City's Clayton Graham Public Safety Building, where immigration group El Pueblo Unido demonstrated against local police. Atlantic City authorities released names and charges, stressing that all defendants, including Diaz, are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
