NJ Transit Train Fatality In Jersey City Suspends Service On HBLR Line
NJ Transit temporarily suspended service on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail line Friday after a trespasser fataility, officials say.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — NJ Transit officials temporarily suspended service on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail line on Friday morning after a train struck and killed a person around 8:45 a.m. near Richard Street in Jersey City, authorities said.
According to NJ Transit, service was suspended both ways between Liberty State Park and Danforth Avenue after the incident, which the agency called a “trespasser fatality.”

None of the 300 passengers on the train suffered injuries, officials told NJ.com.

Bus service was put into place due to the incident, NJ Transit officials announced.
