NJIT Professors, Staff Greenlight New Work Contracts: Union
The deals cover adjunct faculty, postdoctoral research and graduate workers at the Newark-based university through the end of June 2026.
NEWARK, NJ — It’s an overwhelming “yes” for new contracts at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark.
On Wednesday, members of the United Council of Academics at NJIT (UCAN) voted to ratify new work agreements with the university. More than 99 percent of union members who cast a ballot voted in favor, spokespeople said.
The deals cover adjunct faculty, postdoctoral research employees and graduate workers at the school through the end of June 2026.
