Nobody’s Claimed $9.5M Lottery Ticket Sold In Newark: Officials
Someone bought a lottery ticket worth $9.5 million in Newark last month, but nobody knows who it is, officials say.
NEWARK, NJ — Someone bought a lottery ticket worth $9.5 million in Newark last month, but nobody knows who it is, officials say.
Almost six weeks have passed since the Pilot Travel Center at 400 Doremus Avenue sold a winning ticket for the Sept. 30 drawing of the Pick-6. But as of Wednesday, no winner has come forth, lottery officials said.
The ticket captured a $9.5 million jackpot, not a bad way to kick off the holidays, officials said.

The winning numbers from the Monday, September 30, drawing were: 14, 22, 26, 29, 36 and 48.
The winner must have possession of the ticket to claim the prize, officials said. Anyone holding the winning ticket should sign the back and contact Lottery Headquarters at 609-599-5800, or visit any New Jersey Lottery retailer to validate the ticket. Once validated, the retailer will provide the ticketholder with a validation slip and claim form to complete and bring to Lottery Headquarters during business hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or via the mail.
