NY Giants’ Zak DeOssie Visits Newark Kids In Hospital

Pediatric patients at Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center got a surprise visit from an NFL player.

NEWARK, NJ — Pediatric cancer patients at Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center got a surprise visit from two-time Super Bowl winning NY Giants long snapper Zak DeOssie earlier this week.

According to a news release, DeOssie was visiting the hospital on behalf of Tom Coughlin's Jay Fund Foundation, which provides financial, emotional, and practical assistance to families tackling childhood cancer in the NY/NJ metro area.

During his visit, DeOssie hosted a Valentine's Day party for the children receiving treatment, helping them to make cards and pass the time between their chemotherapy treatments a little quicker.
