Newark school principals got a boss of a breakfast Monday during a welcome reception thrown in their honor.

Donning a tall white chef hat and apron over her usual business garb, Superintendent Cami Anderson served up an array of breakfast foods to dozens of principals at Dr. Marion A. Bolden Student Center. Assistant superintendents Peter Turmanian, Mitchell Center, Tiffany Hardrick, Brad Haggerty and Roger Leon were also on hand to dish out scrambled eggs, pancakes and French toast to the new and existing principal cohort.

The first day of school in Newark is next Thursday, Sept. 6.
