
PILLAR COLLEGE INKS THREE MOUs
Newark, New Jersey - The Elementary Education Chair at Pillar College is pleased to announce the signing of three Memorandums of Understanding for students to complete their student teaching experience. The College recently added the B.A. in Elementary Education to prepare kindergarten to 6th grade teachers. According to Dr. Wayne R. Dyer, Vice President of Strategic Alliances for Pillar College, agreements have been signed with Newark Public Schools, Eastern Christian Schools in Haledon and University Heights Charter School in Newark. With these agreements in place students can choose whether they want to complete their student teaching certification requirement in a public school, private Christian school, or a charter school.
Pillar College, located in Newark, NJ recognizes that excellent teachers are needed in our Elementary schools – whether it be a public, charter or private school. This program is designed to prepare the candidates with the knowledge, skills and credentials needed to successfully teach in New Jersey schools. Students are mentored through this process, which culminates in a Bachelor of Arts degree and New Jersey certification to teach Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Pillar College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Pillar College offers Diploma programs through Associate's, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. The main campus is in Newark with additional locations in Paterson and Somerset, NJ
