Rutgers University-Camden Wound Ostomy Continence Program
Rutgers University-Camden now offers its Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Education Program in both an online and on-campus format.
Rutgers University-Camden is now accepting applications for its Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Education Program starting in September 2020. The curriculum is based on the WOCN accreditation curriculum blueprint. Four major themes are represented in the two didactic courses: wound care, fecal and urinary diversions (ostomy), urinary and fecal incontinence, and professional practice. Students earn 13 graduate credits. The program takes approximately one year to complete and includes a 160-hour clinical practicum.
If the campus is too far from Newark, the program is also available in an online format. Students can log in on their own convenience. This is a great program to launch your career in wound care. The certification is highly valued, the courses are advanced graduate level credits and content, and our faculty are nationally respected researchers in this field.
Recent graduates of our program have gone on to find careers at Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania, NewYork-Presbyterian, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and as far away as The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu.
