Saint Michael’s Hospital In Newark Earns Award For Patient Care

NEWARK, NJ — A hospital in Newark recently earned some kudos for patient care as part of Healthgrades’ annual awards.

Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark was among 11 hospitals in New Jersey that earned a “2024 Patient Safety Excellence Award” from Healthgrades, a database of ratings and comparisons for physicians, hospitals and health care providers.

The Patient Safety Excellence Award was presented to the top 10 percent of hospitals, based on an analysis of required data reporting in 13 patient safety measures. Read more about the methodology.
