SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach at La Casa de Don Pedro
FREE pre-screening and application assistance available on December 11 & 18
The SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach team from the Community FoodBank of New Jersey will visit several La Casa de Don Pedro centers this month to help low-income families see if they may qualify for food stamps. They will help those people likely to be eligible for food stamp benefits to fill out an online application. Support in English and Spanish will be available at the following locations:
Dec. 11: 9am to 1pm at 23 Broadway, Youth, Family & Health Services and Family Success Center I, Newark
Dec 18: 9am to 12pm at 282 First Ave, Family Success Center II, Newark

The Outreach team provides free SNAP eligibility pre-screenings at emergency food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, churches, and other community sites serving low-income families in 18 New Jersey counties. The Community FoodBank of NJ also distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,400 programs which feed almost 1 million New Jersey residents.
