Southwest Summer Sale: 1-Way Flights From Newark Start At $79

NEWARK, NJ — Need to get away for a vacation? Southwest Airlines is holding a summer fare sale that may put some cash back in your pockets. Travelers from Newark Airport may find some deals on flights, starting as low as $79.

The four-day “sale of the summer” promotion ends Friday and covers travel between June 5 and Oct. 31. Travelers are allowed to check up to two bags at no cost. Go here to find deals from your airport.

“These fares are so low you can’t afford to miss that summer vacation,” Ryan Green, vice president and chief marketing officer at Southwest Airlines, said in a statement.

Fares reflect one-way prices. Here are some examples of flights from Newark Liberty International Airport:

• to Chicago (Midway), IL - one-way starting at $79
• to Denver, CO - one-way starting at $149
• to Ft. Lauderdale, FL - one-way starting at $99
• to Indianapolis, IN - one-way starting at $79
• to Oakland, CA - one-way starting at $149
• to Orlando, FL - one-way starting at $99
• to San Diego, CA - one-way starting at $149
• to St. Louis, MO - one-way starting at $99
