Strawberry Jam on Saturday June 7th

Strawberries are in season at Greater Newark Conservancy’s Court Street Farm. This Saturday, June 7th join in a celebration of everything “strawberry” on the farm located at 138 Court Street in Newark.

Explore the farm’s strawberry patches. Learn how to make strawberry tea and strawberry jam and try a sample. Make strawberry crafts or bring your drum, guitar or favorite instrument and join in a musical jam. You can even purchase fresh, ripe strawberries from the Conservancy’s Newark Youth Leadership Project (NYLP) Farmstand.

Strawberry Jam will be followed by a Wine and Cheese in the Garden gathering on Friday, June 13th (over 21 only!) at the Conservancy’s Outdoor Learning Center on Prince Street in Newark. Bring your friends to sample cocktails made with fresh, locally grown herbs and fruits, while enjoying a stroll through the lush landscape of the gardens. The event is a fundraiser for the Newark Youth Leadership Project’s camping trip.
