Summit Resident Accused Of Stabbing Woman To Death In Newark
A Summit man has been accused of fatally stabbing another Summit resident in Newark last week, authorities said.
NEWARK, NJ — A Summit man has been accused of stabbing another Summit resident to death in Newark last week, authorities said.
Ramunas Katkus has been charged with murder in connection with the death of Angelika K. Miles, 28, of Summit, according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Department of Public Safety.

“On Friday, Aug. 26 at 3:45 a.m., Newark police discovered Miles on the 500-block of Ferry Street in Newark. She was suffering from stab wounds and was transported to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:42 a.m.”
In addition to murder, Katkus was also charged with possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon, prosecutors said.
