UPDATE: 'Suspicious Package' at Newark Airport Deemed False Alarm
Terminal C had bomb squad, police perimeter, report says.

A suspicious package at Terminal C of Newark Liberty International Airport led to an emergency response Wednesday morning.
The incident was reported around 9:45 a.m., nbcnewyork.com reported. A police dog was brought to the scene and a police perimeter was established. While the terminal was not evacuated, no “non emergency personnel” was allowed to enter, the report said.
Just after 11 a.m. authorities said the bag was filled with “consumer electronics” and the scare was deemed a false alarm, according to 7online.com. The bag was found unattended in a wheelchair, the report said.

Screening resumed and passengers were able to board flights, the report said.
