Teen Fatally Shot In Irvington; Police Investigation Continues

Police found the 17-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said.

IRVINGTON, NJ — A fatal shooting in Irvington claimed a local teen’s life, authorities reported last weekend.

Police found a 17-year-old juvenile male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the 100-block of Maple Avenue at 10:10 p.m. on Friday, according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Irvington Police Department.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the fatal shooting. Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office tips line at 1-877-TIPS-4EC or 1-877-847-7432.
