Urban Girl Magazine To Hold 2nd Black Business Crawl In NJ

Event organizers said they want to "help further circulate the Black dollar within the Black community – "and to have fun while doing this."

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Local digital publication Urban Girl Magazine will host their second Black Business Crawl from 12:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 at several North Jersey businesses (see the list below).

The event is being sponsored by Newark Happening, which is the ‘Greater Newark Convention and Visitors Bureau’. According to a news release from organizers, the “one-of-a-kind experience” will kick off August’s national Black Business Month.

The crawl works like this: the bus will stop at each business, and guests will have an allotted amount of time to go inside and shop. Each guest will receive a free gift bag filled with products from “entrepreneurs of color.” Attendees will receive special deals and incentives to use at each business.
