Wanted South Carolina Fugitive Arrested In Newark
The 22-year-old woman allegedly shot a man in the stomach and fled the scene in his car, reports say.

Newark, NJ – Aided by local authorities, the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force arrested a wanted fugitive from South Carolina in Newark on Wednesday.
According to the Essex County Sheriff’s Office, Martina Jenkins, 22, was arrested as she exited a coffee shop in the area of Newark’s Broad and Thomas streets.
Officers arrested Jenkins without further incident, police stated.

She was lodged at the county jail pending extradition proceedings.
Jenkins was wanted by South Carolina authorities for attempted murder and weapons possession charges that were filed following a shooting incident on Feb. 1 that injured a male victim, authorities stated.

She is accused of shooting the man in the stomach after an argument and fleeing in his truck, The Herald reported.
