WATCH: Newark Celebrates Downtown Holiday Tree Lighting For 2016
Celebrate the holidays with your fellow Newark residents without putting on your coat.

NEWARK, NJ — Did you miss out the Downtown Newark Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration earlier this month? Don’t worry, the Newark Downtown District has you covered.
Earlier this month, the local development group posted a Facebook video of the 2016 celebration – co-hosted by the New Jersey Devils – which took place on Dec. 6.
This year's celebration featured a free concert by R&B musicians Blu Cantrell and Sunshine Anderson, free pictures with Santa, a bouncy house, a NJ Devils synthetic ice skating rink, a trackless train, carnival games, children’s characters and Victorian carolers.
