Weather Cancels Several Flights At Newark Airport: 4/2
The weather canceled "several" flights at Newark Liberty International Airport on Monday, Port Authority officials said.

NEWARK, NJ — An early April snowstorm canceled “several" flights at Newark Liberty International Airport on Monday. Commuters should contact their airlines for status updates on their flights, authorities said.
It was no April Fool’s joke when Port Authority officials alerted travelers that snow was expected on Monday.
“Due to expected weather and peak holiday travel 4/2 at #EWR. Leave additional travel time for check-in and security,” Port Authority officials advised. “Confirm flight before heading to EWR.”

The weather warning became a reality for travelers on Monday morning, officials said:
“EWR is experiencing several cancellations due to the inclement weather we are experiencing in the region. Please contact your airline for status updates on your flight.”
Port Authority officials provided an update shortly afterwards:
