Wine and Cheese in the Garden

Start your weekend right with a stroll through the lush landscape at Greater Newark Conservancy’s Outdoor Learning Center on Prince Street in Newark and enjoy Wine and Cheese in the Garden this Friday, June 13th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. (over 21 only!). Bring your friends to sample cocktails made with fresh, locally grown herbs and fruits. A $5 fee includes one free beverage ticket. The event is a fundraiser for the Newark Youth Leadership Project’s camping trip.

In the months ahead, the Conservancy will also host a Garlic-Palooza on July 26th, plus other events, environmentally focused workshops, community greening projects, field trips and more. Involving everyone from children and families to young professionals and retired seniors, the Conservancy’s programs contribute to a greener and healthier environment in the Greater Newark area.

Founded in 1987, Greater Newark Conservancy’s mission is to promote environmental stewardship to improve the quality of life in New Jersey’s urban communities through environmental education, community gardening, beautification of neighborhoods, job training and environmental justice.
