Woman Beaten By NJ Taco Bell Workers Over Burrito Complaint: Reports
In a lawsuit filed against the company, Leticia Rivera claims she was beaten by three workers at a Newark Taco Bell, reports said.
NEWARK, NJ — A woman claims she was "beaten senseless" by three Taco Bell employees earlier this year after she complained about a burrito she purchased, according to multiple reports citing a lawsuit filed in Superior Court of Essex County.
Leticia Rivera, 49, suffered a broken pinky and a cut to her head in the May 17, 2022, incident at a Taco Bell on Broad Street in Newark, NJ.com first reported.
According to the lawsuit obtained by the publication, an attorney for Rivera said she purchased a burrito at the location and later approached the manager because she thought it tasted funny.

Rivera tried to exchange the burrito for a different item, but staff claimed they didn't have the ingredients to make the order, New Jersey 101.5 reported.
According to the lawsuit, Rivera tried to walk away but a worker came around the counter and attacked her. The employee was joined by two other employees, who also assaulted Rivera, reports said.

The Newark store and Taco Bell owner Yum! Brands are named in the suit, which did not specify an amount for damages, reports said.
