Woman Has Medical Emergency Aboard Flight To Newark, Dies: Report
A United flight was diverted to Ireland after a passenger suffered a medical emergency. The elderly woman later died, a report said.

NEWARK, NJ — An elderly woman passed away after an apparent medical emergency took place aboard a United Airlines flight traveling from Germany to Newark, New Jersey earlier this week, a report said.
The incident took place aboard flight UA-961, which was headed from Frankfurt, Germany, to Newark. A 71-year-old woman began to have breathing difficulties and may have suffered a cardiac arrest, the Irish Examiner reported.
As the plane diverted to Shannon Airport in Ireland, several people took turns giving the woman CPR until the flight landed. Emergency responders were at the scene, but the passenger was pronounced dead shortly after the plane touched down, the Irish Examiner reported.
