Woman Slashed At Newark Bus Stop; Wounded Man Enters McDonald’s: PD
Two people were recently stabbed in Newark. One victim was found bleeding profusely from several cuts on her face, police said.
NEWARK, NJ — Two people were recently stabbed in Newark during separate incidents, authorities say.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, the first stabbing took place around 6 p.m. on Feb. 13. Officers responded to the 1000-block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard and found a victim bleeding profusely from several cuts on her face.
Police said a woman wearing a white shirt and black pants approached the victim while she was with her boyfriend at a bus stop, and they got into an argument. The woman pulled out a razor and slashed the victim’s face multiple times, then fled south on Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard.

The injured woman was transported to University Hospital for treatment.

Another stabbing took place around 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, authorities told Patch.
According to police, a man with a stab wound on his upper arm entered the McDonald’s on Frelinghuysen Avenue and asked people to call for an ambulance.
The injured man was transported to University Hospital, and is reportedly in stable condition, police said. No additional information was immediately available.
An investigation continues, authorities said.
