4 New Hires to New Brunswick PD

This marks 27 new officers hired to the New Brunswick PD since 2013.

New Brunswick, NJ - Four new police officers were sworn in to the ranks of the New Brunswick Police Department on Friday at City Hall.

From left to right, the new officers are: Anthony J. Jones Jr., Nicholas A. Grammar, Richard J. Reed, III and Sean P. Paganelli. New Brunswick Mayor Jim Cahill (right) and Police Director Anthony Caputo (left), administered the oath.

These four new officers recently completed 21 weeks of training at the Cape May County Police Academy, and will begin street patrols right away, according to city officials.

The four new officers mark a total of 27 hires to the New Brunswick Police Department since 2013. Five more recruits will be sent to the academy by the end of this month, to begin working with the department later this year, according to a city spokeswoman.
