$50,000 Winning Lottery Ticket Sold in New Brunswick
The man who bought the winning ticket was "so nervous he was shaking" as the numbers were read, store owner says.

New Brunswick, NJ - The man who bought a $50,000 third-prize winning Powerball ticket in New Brunswick was “so nervous he was shaking” when the store confirmed the winning numbers Thursday.
“He’s a Honduran guy, a regular customer,” said Odalis Ramos, who owns Los Lopez bodega where the ticket was sold, at French and Comstack streets. ”He lives two houses down, and comes in every day to play the lottery. He bought four Quick Picks Wednesday night, plus the Powerball.”
On Thursday morning, the man came back to the store, where Ramos scanned the ticket for him to see if he won. Sure enough, it was a match.

Ramos also said he made a copy of the ticket and now has it prominently taped by the register so customers can see it.
“I want people to see that if you play, you can really win,” he said. He said the store has sold a winning ticket before, but it was only for $500.
