• State Theatre New Jersey presents The Rocky Horror Picture Show with Barry Bostwick on October 3rd (newjerseystage.com) — A cult-classic movie night is headed right to downtown New Brunswick, as State Theatre New Jersey hosts The Rocky Horror Picture Show with original cast member Barry Bostwick on October 3, 2026. Locals can snag tickets starting at $34, upgrade to a VIP meet-and-greet, enjoy a live shadow cast performance, and join a costume contest and after-party.
• Research Field Worker Casual (rutgers.edu) — Rutgers' School of Environmental and Biological Sciences in New Brunswick is hiring a part-time Research Field Worker to support crop and soil studies on the Cook campus. Local applicants with a high school diploma and some field or greenhouse experience can earn $20–$25 per hour, working up to 19.5 hours weekly, with applications accepted through September 14.
• Missing Fords Woman Faces Animal Cruelty Charges After Dead Pets Found in Her Home (tapinto.net) — A Fords woman has been charged with five counts of animal cruelty after police say they found several dead dogs and a reptile in her abandoned home, and she's now ordered to appear in Middlesex County Superior Court in New Brunswick on September 24. Authorities say she remains at large and have entered her into a national crime database while the investigation continues.
