Piscataway Resident Ritu Sharma, MD, Receives Chilton Hospital’s “Physicians We Admire” Award

Ritu Sharma, MD, of Piscataway, was named the recipient of Chilton Hospital’s “Physicians We Admire” award. Dr. Sharma is certified as a Med-Peds physician, a unique specialty combining pediatrics and internal medicine.

The quarterly Physicians We Admire award was created to provide Chilton Hospital staff the opportunity to recognize physicians that embrace the organization’s five shared values on a daily basis: collaboration, ownership, excellence, compassion and innovation. The award winner is also one who leads the health care team in delivering high quality, safe, personalized patient care.

“All of our physicians play a vital role in what we do every day,” said Chilton Hospital Chief Nursing Officer Joanne Reich, RN, MA, NE-A, BC. “With this award, we celebrate and highlight one of our physicians who takes ownership in working with all staff to meet patients’ needs and who provides compassionate care each and every time to our patients and their families.”

About Ritu Sharma, MD:
Dr. Sharma earned her medical degree in 2005 from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/New Jersey Medical School in Newark. She completed her residency in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics from the same institution. Dr. Sharma is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Association of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians and the National Med-Peds Residents’ Association. In addition, Dr. Sharma is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and by the Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
