This Milk &amp; Cookies event overflows with the love of music, mixing original songs, and re-imagined, re-ignited, beloved classics of all genres to leaving everyone on their feet and jumping in the air! Every child is made to included, bringing one musical invitation after another to join and jam along and to help transform the music into a full-on dance party.
Mike Messer is a familiar face in kid’s rock music all over the world. He is the lead singer and guitarist of the popular group the Dirty Sock Funtime Band (“The most exciting and innovative music for kids ever!" —MTV) featured in several episodes of Nick Jr’s&nbsp;Jack’s Big Music Show. In addition to being the voice of the theme song to “Super Wings,” his singing has been heard on TV in episodes of&nbsp;Wonder Pets,&nbsp;Sing It Laurie, and&nbsp;Sesame Street.
Milk &amp; Cookies&nbsp;is a lively, interactive storytelling and music series for families. This program, which takes place in our Studio, is the perfect way to introduce children ages 3-8 to live theater. Includes a cookie and a carton of milk for every child after the show.

An incredible four act '60s Rock 'n Roll Revival roars into State Theatre New Jersey starring&nbsp;Jay and the Americans, the Grass Roots,&nbsp;The Lovin’ Spoonful,&nbsp;and the&nbsp;Brooklyn Bridge! 
Jay and the Americans&nbsp;continue to be led onto the stage by founding members Sandy Deanne and Marty Sanders, long-time lead singer Jay Reinecke, new addition Darren Dowler (former lead singer of Paul Revere and the Raiders), and their great backup band. Jay and the Americans had 12 top 10 charted records from 1962-1971, including “She Cried,” “Only in America,” “Come a Little Bit Closer,” “Cara Mia,” “This Magic Moment,” “Some Enchanted Evening,” and “Walkin in the Rain.” Always an STNJ favorite, you’ll see why they were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. 
The Grass Roots&nbsp;had many hit singles in the late '60s and early '70s, including three Top 10 singles, six Top 20 singles, 14 Top 40 singles, two gold albums, and sold more than 20 million records worldwide. Hits include “Where Were You When I Needed You,” “Let’s Live for Today,” “Midnight Confession,” “I’d Walk a Million Miles,” “Temptation Eyes,” “Sooner or Later,” “Heaven Knows,” and Two Divided by Love.” In 1982, they performed at the National Mall in Washington D.C. on July 4 to a crowd of over half a million fans. 
The Lovin’ Spoonful&nbsp;had seven consecutive Top 10 hits, and only the Beatles and Rolling Stones sold more records in 1966 than the Spoonful. Hits include “Do You Believe in Magic,” “What a Day for a Daydream,” “Summer in the City,” “Did you Ever have to Make up Your Mind,” “You Didn’t have to be so Nice,” “Rain on the Roof,” “Darlin Be Home Soon,” “Six O’Clock,” and “Nashville Cats.”&nbsp;In 2000, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. 
The Brooklyn Bridge&nbsp;formed when the Crests’ lead singer, Johnny Maestro, joined the Del-Satins (Dion’s backup singers) and the Rhythm Method horn section. The Bridge still performs Maestro’s hits, including “16 Candles,” “The Angels Listened In,” and “Step by Step” in addition to their late 1960s hits, “The Worst Than Could Happen,” “Welcome Me Love,” “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” and “Blessed is the Rain.”

NJ Ketamine Pioneer Opens 2nd Clinic in South Plainfield

Reyou Ketamine Treatments, the NJ mental health practice that has delivered more than 8,000 transformative treatments for depression, anxiety, PTSD and other mood disturbances, has opened its 2nd clinic at 908 Oak Tree Road in South Plainfield. The expansion comes as the practice's Howell location is consistently booked, with demand for relief of mental health symptoms surging across Central NJ. The expansion comes as treatment-resistant depression affects an estimated 2.8 million Americans, and most patients still don't know that Spravato — the FDA-approved nasal spray form of ketamine — is covered by most commercial and federally funded insurance plans, including Horizon, Cigna, and Aetna. "People come to us after years of trying medications that didn't work for depression, anxiety, PTSD — they're exhausted. They've lost hope," said Michael Langer, founder of Reyou. "What our team has seen across 8,000 treatments is that ketamine doesn't just relieve symptoms — it gets at the root and gives people a window where real change becomes possible. Our job is to make sure that window is maximized for lasting change." Despite growing clinical evidence and FDA approval, access to ketamine-based treatments in NJ remains limited. Many clinics offer infusions as a standalone service — administer the IV, send the patient home. However, Reyou was built on a different premise. Every treatment at Reyou includes integration support — guided sessions during the critical neuroplasticity window that ketamine creates, designed to help patients process their experience and build lasting change. It's a model informed by data from Harvard-affiliated clinics studying more than 2,000 patients. "The treatment opens a door. Integration is what helps people walk through it," said Langer.
