Engaging Someone with Alzheimer's Disease @ East Brunswick Library - Nov. 19th - 7pm!

Free community educational Seminar for Alzheimer's caregivers on how to engage someone with Alzheimer's!

East Brunswick Library and Goldenview Living would like area residents to please join us on Thursday, November 19th from 7:00pm -8:00pm at the East Brunswick library, located at 2 Jean Walling Civic Center, East Brunswick, NJ 08816 for a free education seminar on “Engaging Someone with Alzheimer’s Disease”, Presented by Amy Matthews of Engaging Alzheimer’s. The number of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia is increasing and so is the number of caregivers. Often times, caregivers become overwhelmed and lack the knowledge about this disease and ways in which to better care for their loved ones. This program will briefly describe Alzheimer’s and dementia as well as go in depth about different communication techniques caregivers may utilize throughout the different stages of the disease. It well also discuss ways to create and engage in meaningful activities for loved ones with Alzheimer’s and other forms of Dementia.
