Come and experience Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre's new lecture demonstration in New Brunswick - "The History of Spaniards in New Jersey"! - for FREE - this Sunday June 12 at 1pm.

Come with us on a journey and learn how and why the people of Galicia came to our state, their triumphs and challenges in making a new life here, and how they have influenced our communities over the years with their culture, food and more.

- Enrich your eyes and ears - see immigration documents, archival photos and artifacts of Galician families who came to NJ, and hear fascinating stories from our guest speakers. Artists from Alborada and Centro Orensano (an award-winning Newark-based Galician cultural group) will demonstrate for you regional musical instruments and dance movements in colorful, authentic costumes from this northern region of Spain.
- Enrich your palette - join us for a FREE reception with Spanish tapas and Galician wine, and mingle with your fellow attendees, the speakers and the artists.

Location: Rutgers University Voorhees Hall 105, adjacent to the Zimmerli Art Museum, 71 Hamilton Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. Reception follows in the lobby of the Museum. Free parking is available in parking lots 1 (across from the Museum) and 16 (behind the Museum).
