Choudhury will talk about his childhood city, once the capital of the British Raj and later India’s industrial and cultural hub. Through vivid details and stories that wind through back streets and monuments left from the Victorian era, we will gain access to a Calcutta few of us are familiar with. A book signing will follow the reading.
