Art After Hours: First Wednesdays

Art After Hours gives Rutgers University students and community members the opportunity to engage in a multifaceted approach to the arts. Light refreshments, extended hours for Café Z, and seasonal specials in the Museum Store are offered throughout the evening.

December's Art After Hours will have an exhibition tour of Two Venetian Masters: Canaletto and Domenico Tiepolo Etchings beginning at 5:30 p.m. The short film Venice: Canaletto and His Rivals, at 6:15 p.m., examines the culture and business that developed around vedute: highly detailed paintings of cityscapes and vistas. At 7:30 p.m., Gudrun Buehler and the Anna Mantovani Vocal Dance Company infuse the tradition of Bel Canto with unique narratives of traditional Baroque arias. Throughout the evening, decorate cookies in the lobby and visit the museum store for seasonal specials.
