Art After Hours: First Wednesdays

Art After Hours gives Rutgers University students and community members the opportunity to engage in a multifaceted approach to the arts. Light refreshments, extended hours for Café Z, and seasonal specials in the Museum Store are offered throughout the evening.

January’s Art After Hours features a docent-led tour of the exhibit Abstraction in Sculpture beginning at 5:30pm., followed by a performance of American and Brazilian jazz standards by the Vanessa Perea Band at 6:15pm. From 6 to 8:30pm create your own abstract – or figurative – work in The Art of Paper Cutouts and Designs.  Stop by the Museum Store for a complimentary copy of Newer Genres: Twenty Years of the Rutgers Archives for Printmaking Studios (CD-Rom) and 20% discount on all purchases.

General admission. Free to Rutgers students, faculty and staff, and museum members.
