Travel the world of art with interactive workshops that allow families quality time to be creative together! Children and parents, grandparents, or guardians work side-by-side on exciting arts, crafts, and performance projects conducted by trained educators and artists. Experience the work of legendary artist and illustrator Lynd Ward, who is particularly famous for his novels without words, done entirely in woodcuts. Students consider the use of wordless images to create narrative lines and learn the process of Linocut to design their own story sequences. Advanced registration is required for Passport to Art workshops. Each class includes materials and a brief exhibition tour. To register, please call Education Department 732.932.7237 or write to education@zimmerli.rutgers.edu.
