Travel the world of art with interactive workshops that allow families quality time to be creative together! Children and parents, grandparents, or guardians work side-by-side on exciting arts, crafts, and performance projects conducted by trained educators and artists. Learn about the career of Leonid Sokov, who emphasized play in his artwork. Students consider both the construction and conceptual ideas behind Sokov’s toys as inspiration to create their own toys. The class connects the acts of constructing and playing with the toy to fine visual art. Advanced registration is required for Passport to Art workshops. Each class includes materials and a brief exhibition tour. To register, please call Education Department 732.932.7237 or write to education@zimmerli.rutgers.edu.
